I’m juggling way too much at the moment and I committed a big faux pas yesterday – I skipped two meals. OK, I didn’t skip the meals…I forgot to eat.
Needless to say, when dinner rolled around, I ended up overeating. Oh and because I felt stressed out, I ended up drinking one too many glasses of wine.
I felt bloated and blah this morning. Wow, who saw that coming?
My first thought – I’ll wait until noon to eat to make up for last night. Not a smart move. A half day fast just means I’m going to pig out at lunch and probably eat the wrong foods to boot.
It’s an old habit. Skipping meals happened all the time when I worked for the man. I’d work 12-15 hours a day, forgo breakfast and lunch, but hit up the vending machine for food. I added 100+ lbs. over 10 years before my eureka moment.
At least I caught it sooner this time around.
When I fully woke up, I realized that by not eating breakfast, I was setting myself up for failure.
So I ate. Nothing large, just a protein shake.
I’m back on track.
